Re: Hoth's Corner
It's paint wheels time.....it's my most favorite part of painting these little beauties.......NOT!!!!!! All joking aside, it does reduce my stress..
Moving on to PZ II barrels. Do both of them, the 20mm and the coax, get painted gun metal or just the smaller one? I have seen them both ways and I am not sure which is right. Any one knows, or are both right?

Hoth - Most of the photos I've seen of Pz II s show/suggest the 20mm was painted in the hull color, with the coax MG in a dark color, presumably gun metal. That is my recommendation.

Re: Hoth's Corner
The move to a new home has begun and I have been trying to squeeze in a little painting before I have to close up the paint shop and move it all to my new home. With that said, I was able to get the camo on some of my big cats. These are attached below.

Hoth, very nice detail work on those, the tracks, the wheels and the spare tracks. Very nice.
If I miss something, I apologize.

Re: Hoth's Corner
No Chris, you did not miss anything. That is about where I stopped. I have a bunch of other thanks to get the camo on and then I will do the cables, shovels, and other stowage.. Once the entire regiment is done, and a few side units like my tigers and panthers, I will mount them again to be sealed, apply decals and then put a wash on them.
I am close.. very close to being done. Sadly I am moving to a new rental, so my progress is going to be nill till the move is complete in the middle of July. Unless I get the packing done before that.

Re: Hoth's Corner
Wow, the Forum is up and holding for now. Since its been a while, I thought I would throw up one of my on going projects that probably will get close to being done but never finished. In addition, its a subject matter that is rarely posted on this site. Mike, thanks for constantly urging me to post.
Behold my Modern Japanese Type 10 and Type 89 Vehicles. I am using Tamiya D. Green/JGSDF (XF-73) and Brown/ JGSDF (XF72).for the two tone camouflage. I think I nailed it, what do you think.

Thanks for any feedback you might have. I have five more vehicles to camo paint and then fingers crossed, off to detail work.

Re: Hoth's Corner
Hoth, you hit this one out of the park. You have the camo just right, IMHO.
Your painting, blending of those two colors works very well.
Well done Grand Master.
