D9 bulldozer
Just received a pack. IT IS AN ACTUAL WORK OF ART. It is a spectacular addition to my engineer battalion. Likely will add a few more.

We all must wait until after 16 Jun, when I see a neurologist, to determine why my left hand and arm will not do as I direct it before any painting can be done. It's been out of control for a couple years.

Re: D9 bulldozer
Does anyone know how D9s are allocated to the engineer units? I ordered some intending to add them to my ACR engineer company, but the TO&E that I am using does not have D9s. Not that something like a TO&E will stop me, but I would like to get as close as possible.

Re: D9 bulldozer
A quick search said the US doesn't use the D9. They use a smaller, lighter D10. Couldn't find a TOE but will keep looking. Meanwhile, it's a big asset, so I'm gonna allocate 4 to my engineer battalion - one per company and one at battalion-level. I have M9s in the platoons. The US used D9s in Vietnam, but withdrew them after. The Israelis use the GHQ model, but I don't know how they allocate them.

Re: D9 bulldozer
It took me forever to get these painted. And it's just 2 vehicles!
First the before pictures. This thing is a monster and there is some assembly required. I would never have been able to get it together without some magnifying glasses!

Now here is after paint, a wash, and some dry brushing. I tried some different colors and I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out, even though they look a little washed out in the photos. I have a second pair of D9s that I haven't opened yet and I think I will go for desert tan on those.

This pair of dozers has been assigned to the engineer company of my ACR project. Now I need to figure out how to move them. I think combat engineer units use 25-ton and 40-ton trailers to move heavy equipment (I think), but this thing weighs like 50 tons. I have to print some HETs for the support squadron anyway, so I'm thinking I'll just use M1070s with M1000 trailers to haul these beasts around.
