My observations of German artillery on YouTube's indicates 2 4-piece platoons per battery, each with Fuchs, 3 batteries per battalion (I think they use "regiment.". Battery and battalion headquarters also have Fuchs and the 4-wheel scout/command vehicle. Each piece is serviced by at least one 6-wheeled truck, likely with more in trains. Apparently, platoons move independently, as I have not seen otherwise. With ACH155, there will, no doubt, be more changes. I LIKE Panzerhaubitz. Likely will get more down the pike. Can justify another battery, for total of 2, but will get a third, anyway.

The Germans USED to use M577 and they had a custom M113 FO vehicle for a while, then they used Janine by removing the 90mm.

C Troop was finished when the forum was down and I never got to post any pics (they went to Facebook instead). Just finished D Company over the weekend though. Diamondbacks!

As you know (I hope), that I really like your work, painting and creations. Thus, I really like your Diamondbacks!
The 3 trailers how did you attach them to the Hummvs? I use either a base for the transporter and trailer rest upon or a small piece of balsa wood glued the maintain the connection. Thank you.

The trailers aren't attached. I left them separate, and they all have the stand down so they can either be set by themselves or be placed directly behind a vehicle to simulate towing.

As a TOE guy, myself, you can only imagine how much I enjoy seeing your progress on your armored cavalry regiment. The Army should surely bring 'em back. WE NEED ACRs!

Thank you for the comments, guys. I am refurbing all of the existing ACR vehicles, and adding new stuff to the regiment, plus all the trailers that I have been neglecting. Everything was moved to the unassigned motor pool and they only get to rejoin the regiment once they meet the new standard. Currently the regiment is at 14% strength. That's 60% for 1st squadron and 23% for the regiment assets (only the MI Company is done). Still a big fat ZERO for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and support squadrons, plus regimental HHT, engineer company, chemical company, and ADA battery.

Just finished the 1st Howitzer Battery a couple days ago. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, except for the guns themselves. I did M109A7s for the howitzer sections, when they should be A6s, since the regiment is supposed to be in its 2001 form. At some point I will replace them with A6s and move the A7s to corps artillery.
The battery is mostly GHQ, except for the PLSs and trailers, which are 3D printed, and the HMMWVs, which are CinC.

This is GREAT! you're making a great deal of progress.
I'm working artillery, as well, finishing a Brit artillery regiment (guns only first) -5 of 6 eight-piece batteries and a 6-piece MLRS battery. Starting a German Arty regiment, 8-piece Panzerhaubitze battery so far. Both Brits and Germans are moving to the Boxer -based RCH 155, so I don't want to get ahead too much with the Germans. I've been watching YouTubes of current German arty units. Although they use 8-piece batteries, I have only seen 2- or 4-piece units moving together. Sometimes there is a Fennek or two, or a couple Fuchs, or an FDC shelter mounted in a short truck pulling a generator trailer. I haven't found organizational information beyond that. MLRS batteries apparently have six launchers based on rail head sitings. M113A2 Beobachter (forward observer FIST) are still in use, as are M577s, although FUCHS vehicles apparently perform the same function. Batteries have both tracked and wheeled recovery vehicles.
If you haven't seen it, HIMARS battalions are apparently now at 27 launchers organized in three mines piece batteries.

Thanks for the comments, guys! and I appreciate the info on the artillery units, PG! I'm going to have to stick with 18 launchers in a HIMARS battalion, at least for the time being. Oh wait...I need 2 battalions: one with 18 and one with 27! Oh wait...I need 4 battalions so I can have them in tan and NATO camo!
