Nice winter boards,Cav Dog.
The 24"X24" boards are made of styrofoam insulation.
Thanks ,bejart7092. The maps you show,show an awful lot of roads,which is very decieving. The actual pictures of the main road from Prokhorovka to Kursk shows a dirt road. They are rough uneven,and have a tendancy to be "bottomless" when soaked by rain. They even make for a difficult mountain bike race. I've not seen pictures of the secondary roads but can imagine because of the state of the primary one.

Sounds like typical Russian roads to me. The dotted lines signify footpaths or trails, probably not wide enough for a single tractor.
