I've a new wish for next year novelties:

a heavily sandbagged Sherman!

sandbags all over around. Preferably the 76mm model, and the Jumbos, these look very aggressive with the extra stuff.

Military vehicles are beautiful because they are built from functional designs which make them real, solid, without artifice. The short timers

Here's what I want:

Pmskaar - right on point with heavy weapons packs!!!!!!!
Open backed Opel Blitz trucks
Open backed US/UK trucks - take your pick
Armored trains
Soviet tractors (previous thread was cool on this topic) - late model
Civilian cars - various - World War Two
Opel Blitz Omnibus

Accessories would be cool too:

Tarps for sdkfz 251
Crates, boxes, barrels, rolls of barbed wire, artillery round stacks
Tank riders, all nationalities, World War Two
Spare tires and tracks/bogey wheels
Fortified positions in ruins (ie sandbagged emplacement in or around bombed out structure)

Individual lengths of schurtzen that can be cut or modified into small plates (to simulate missing plates on various panzers (I know someone did this in a previous thread simply and successfully using plastic but I think it would be cool to have the white metal version with more detail...)

Rear deck supplies and cage for StuG's

Full of good ideas BurtWolf !

Very agree with you : we need Opel Blitz without tarpaulin in the rear. (How could we mount motorised infantry inside the actual GHQ Opel Blitz ? impossible !) :?
A new Opel blitz cargo version (mid-war) would be very appreciate too because the actual GHQ opel blitz is good, but mostly for early years of WWII... (even if many of this version survive the war..)

Modern Russian Heavy Weapons #2:

AT3 Saggers
SA 7/14 SAM
Tripod mounted SPG 9 Recoilless Rifles
Ground mounted DSHK HMG
All with appropriate crews of course.
Leaders, spotters and radio men.

These could work for Cold War Warsaw Pact as well as Arabs.
Tactics are the opinion of the senior officer present.

I would like to see some of the 'missing' items to consolidate the Israeli and South African lines, such as the Magach 6 with ERA (1982 Lebanon vintage) and the centurion similarly equipped. The Sherman 160mm mortar would be cool,as well. Not sure how the '48 modified armoured cars would go, but they'd look very cool.

South Africa could do with a Rooikat 8x8 to accompany the horde of Ratels, and the Ratel ATGM variant would, cap the collection off quite well. There's also the 106 RCL and 81mm mortar variants of the Casspir to consider (the Casspir is one of the outstanding miniatures I've picked up,lately - it paints up fantastically & looks very impressive).

I'll second the wish for the Patria AMV, since it's got a lot of production in several variants.

One of the glaring early Cold War gaps are the heavy tanks from the U.S. And UK, namely the M103 and Conquerer. These would pretty much finish off any required tank fleet from that period. A ferret with ATGM would be excellent as well.....

Aircraft-wise, I'd like to see a Hawker Hunter & Buccaneer for the same period, and the Sepecat Jaguar & Falklands Harriers (Sea Harrier & also the RAF GR3 version).

And how about a plain-Jane Huey-Cobra for Vietnam ??

Someone else earlier suggested an open top version of the Canadian C15 armoured truck, which would give me a plausible excuse to by half a dozen more packs of them....:-)

I'm sure I've missed some glaringly obvious 'must-haves', but these should be a good start....

I like these options a lot - it's hard to believe they haven't been done yet!!

The IDF has officially acknowledged the existence of the Pereh, a Magach-based tank with 12 Tamuz missiles in a modified turret. This seems like an easy project--- a new turret for the existing chassis. GHQ might be able to squeeze this one in during the current schedule. (I hope) Otherwise, I might have to try some modifications on my own.

The self-propelled version is available as N19, M163 Vulcan, but no towed version from GHQ.
