Nice looking games, Bill. Good to see I'm not the only guy here still playing Command Decision.

Man, I just LOVE those M10s!

Oh oh oh, I just gotta put some crewmen in my TD turrets!

How many did you put in each? Do I see two? Did you use seated figs (like the US Armored Infantry) or did you just snip some figs off at the torso?

Enquiring minds want to know ...

Oh BTW, I love the paint jobs on the M10s too. Sloppy white-washes with lots of mud. Really nicely done.

I've got a real soft-spot for US TDs, don't you know...

I used the GHQ H/T crews with MMGs but also some of the pointing infantry figures. I altered the helmets with a couple of dots of yellow glue to look like tanker helmets. I will take some close ups when time permits. They turned out well.

I am not on the CD mailer although I have seen Frank Chadwick playing the proposed CDIV at numerous HMGS East cons over the last few years. I am curious.

Beta test versions of CD4 (or whatever the name is now :) ) are available for download and play-testing from members of the CD3 and Command Decision Yahoo groups. Last I checked they were up to version 18.0 Beta test.

Frank Chadwick and Greg Novak used to be regulars at Nashcon in the mid-to-late 1990's. Got to play in several of their convention games (still have particularly fond memories of playing one of the Argentinian commanders in a Falklands Goose Green scenario). One of my favorite Nashcon GM moments was having Frank sign up and play in one of my 20mm CD3 Spanish Civil War scenarios at Nashcon '99. He got to thoroughly shoot up a column of Italian CTV infantry and seemed to have a great time of it.

Mk.1, I still think you get to have more fun with AFV's than any of us mere mortals really deserve!

P.S. - Always had a soft spot for the M18.....

Indeed I do try!

And U.S. TDs are among my favorite toys!

Careful! When you mention "soft spot" in the same sentence as M18 ... one might assume you speak of the armor!

The price you pay for a WW2-era tracked AFV capable of being ticketed for speeding on some U.S. interstate highways!

Storming the Ville

This image is from our "Nam" game using Arc of Fire at the recent Mick-Con. The VC in the Ville have shot down one UH-1D but the other two have taken out half the other VC. Now grunts are moving in to finish off the remaining resistance. 8)

Nice looking set-up, Bill. I've never tried the Arc of Fire rules. Are they a skirmish type rules set? As much as I like Command Decision, I've never felt an operational level rules system really does justice to Vietnam-era small unit actions.

Wow, nice pic, Bill. Got some more? Maybe a wider-angled shot or two? I'd surely love to see more of that battleboard.

I spy with my little eye:
- Nicely done huts. The paint job on the grass roofs is very good. What colors did you use? But are the walls actually gray? Or is that a by-product of photo/lighting?
- Very nicely done figs.
- Palm trees done in the GHQ fashion.
- Beautiful terrain. The differnces between the mud and the grass are intriguing. Sure would love to see more of it.
- Hand-painted numbering on the one Huey (A9) that's down. Ooh I just LOVE it when other guys also eschew decals in favor of hand-painting the details!
