Ratel 90, look at all the tires that need work, well have done most of those. Need to work on vision ports, drivers windows, etc.

Redleg,
Thank you, glad you like the Ratels.
Guys/Gals, after I paint windows should I then black wash and then pigment for dirt, mud?
or after windows do some picments for dirt & mud, then blackwash?
Thank you
Chris

Really nice stuff there Chris. As for your question, I'd wash and then apply dirt/mud

Dust, Chris. Dust. Look at that pic with the Roos and Ratels you posted. Covered in dust.

Seeing Chris's collection, and Paul's collection in person, just impressed me to no end. I love the look of GHQ miniatures grouped together in Mass. Equally impressive, Chris, is the foot hills of tanks, that imahine is a mountain of pewter. Both painted and unpainted.

Great work Chris.

Chris,

Those Rooikats, are they shapeways, H&R or what?

I've been looking for some of those...

My implementation of painting today.
Not pleased with my 3-tone Aus-Cam on the Ratels. The shine might become a bit less shiny over a few days.....may just need to black wash and dust some.

Man there’s been some been some great stuff posted recently - thank you all for sharing! I’ve hit a lull but it’s motivating me to break out the brushes again. Chris I wish I could get my Camo looking like yours, looks really cool.

Gentlemen and Cama...LOL, haha.... Happy Thankgiving (or some similar salutation).
Thank you, I appreciate the kind remarks, glad you like them.
My Ratel camo is Model Masters spray Dark Tan, then hand paint Olive Drab and then Black. Usually its spray Olive Drab, hand Dark Tan then Black. We shall see which looks better. I did black wash the 3 Ratels.

Blackwash on most of the Ratels. Multi-camouflage on 3 Ratels, plan to have a light-wash on the remaining.

Danke, since then I have black-washed the others with a light wash. Think the Commonwealth will need to purchase 2/3 to 3/4 of the Ratels from SADF. Since we need to be able to patrol and then control with heavier armor, certainly with Al Kabab.

Chris, sir, you are a madman. So much awesomeness and detail in your figures. I don’t know how you do it all. It takes me forever to do simple paint jobs. Looking forward to CofCs next acquisitions. (As long as it’s not my country being overrun)
