Whoa, My Visby Class are 1/350 so they are a little "tight" but with the railings and nets down would be manageable I think. Some better photos.





They are only used as landing platforms for refuel/rearm etc, no hangar so not based on the ships as such.
The Knox Class I do not think would be any problem and I am working on a new Frigate sized ship in 1/350 with a hangar to take up to two AS365 Dauphin or a NH-90.
I have worked with MD500's as a soldier and as a civilian, they are great little birds. However I want a fully blown ASW heli for my Imaginary Nation.
The AS365 Dauphin/Panthers are in a class of their own. if I was making the choice it is what I would buy.

Chris, Doors are all fixed, brass PE looks nice but very fragile. I have two with a few doors open and two more closed down running all stealthy.

Those BTRs look great. And I very much agree, the models still look excellent after all these years.
I have a battalion (1-to-1 unit scale) of Soviet-era Motor Rifles, that I built as 1 battalion of infantry stands with 3 choices of vehicle mounts -- with a battalion's worth of BTR-60s, a battalion's worth of BTR-80s, and a battalion's worth of BMP-2s. Some minor diffs in the support kit between them, to allow the same riflemen to dismount with the right support (eg: they dismount from BTR-60s with saggers and RCLs, from BTR-80s with spandrels, and if they ride in BMPs they don't dismount ATGMs). But otherwise one set for 3 mounts.

Except ... they have not seen the light of day since I joined this forum some 18 years ago. Don't think I've played a modern game since about '97 or '98, and so what I had collected and played hardly qualifies as "modern" anymore! They are all in a box somewhere in the garage. Through the 90s I was focused on cold-war era and moderns, but in about 2002 or '03 I turned my attention back to WW2, and have only finished up some W-I-P of moderns since then.

But I sure do like the looks of 'em.

Thank you very much, Mark! I will be working on more Cold War era Russians and some NATO stuff so I can do some gaming in this era as well as getting more stuff done for my Arab-Israeli Wars gaming project.
