The third Edition is quite good and complete. There are a lot details such gunfire charts for aech nation but I do not like too much the style of the ship logs..
The advantage for me is that using the rules cover WWI (adding Fleet action imminent) and WWII.
One of the reason for their scarce populòarity is their length. All together are about 130 pages plus charts and ship logs.

Retaking Vierville AAR
Played a Scenario from ASLSK, S1 Retaking Vierville. US dominant win - scenario needs more tinkering.

I wish I'd thought of the nickname before signing up for GHQ. 'Cause I would've used here as well, to make it consistent.

AAR -- Battle for the Bridge -- La Fiere, Normandy
Here is a link to an AAR by Roger for the game our local group played Saturday:
http://www.brittonpublishers.com/Files/ ... ge_AAR.pdf
The scenario covered the first German 1057th Regiment company-sized attack supported by German "liberated" French R-35 tanks to retake the La Fiere Bridge from elements of A Company, 505th PIR. Most of the terrain is Ben's, whose wife created the marshes. It proved to be an exciting and hard-fought battle
Our group will be running this scenario at Cold Wars on Friday, 6 March at 2 PM -- Event No. F103 "Battle for the Bridge."

Digging the marsh
That's a great board - is the marsh plastic tarp?
