The combat commands aren't usually made up for 1:1 scale TO&Es. They're made for GHQ rules which are 1:5

Actualy, the combat commands ARE made to represent 1:1 scale. its just that several of them are somewhat historicly inacurate.

While I have been known to be wrong on occasion, the sqn would probably be better represented with 15 Cromwells and one or two fewer Challengers. They equipped the single recce regt in the armoured divisions in NWE. The regt had three sqns, made up in the same way as regular tank sqns (four troops of three tanks, plus an HQ troop), with the 17pdr armed Challenger supplementing the Cromwells as available.
