Other ideas for 1/2400 Modern Micronauts

Post by av8rmongo »

Looking at the thread about the 1/285 LCAC got me thinking. I have 3 Wasp LHDs, 4 Tarawa LHAs, 2 Whidbey Island LSDs, a smattering of US LPHs, LPDs and LSTs and a JMSDF Osumi LST. What I really need now are 1/2400 scale LCACs to support these units. Waterline AAV-7s would be cool too but that might be reaching a little. The other landing craft can be borrowed from the WWII line but the LCACs are critical.

GHQ - What are the odds of a special project?

A quick tally gives me a need (my wife obviously would debate that word choice) for about 20-25 LCACs to support my current and future fleet. For modern LCUs I would need at least 10. And 40-50 waterline AAV-7s wouldn't hurt either. Obviously my fleet couldn't embark all of these at the same time but for gaming versatility and utility it would be awesome.

LCAC

Post by dragon6 »

LCACs and modern LCUs would be nice. If I'm dreaming what about Aists, Lebeds and Gus class soviet era LCACs ....

Maybe a package with the bunch in it, like the ASW aircraft pack

Well here's my thoughts to add to the mix.

Some Modern UK Aircraft and Helicopters would be most useful, such as Jaguars, Buccaneers, Tornado's, Victor's and Vulcan Bombers. Also some Euro Fighters, Super Etandard, Skyhawk, Sea King Helicopters, and Westland Wasp and Wess.ex Helicopters for the slightly older ships.

Maybe some 1960' and 70's aircraft would be a nice addition to the 1:2400 Modern range as well.

Maybe these can be added sometime in the future.

I've always wondered why there are F-4s and A-6s but no A-4s or A-7s. I guess you could exclude other types that never flew from Nimitz class carriers but these should have been included.
