Modern British Army thread

Ben,

I didn't want to hi-jack the Bundeswehr thread anymore than what was required so I'm creating a new thread. The pictures of the British bridging trucks, what make/model of trucks are they. Is the "Unipower" label the make? Forgive my ignorance but I don't know much about the British Army beyond their tanks and APCs and I've been on an engineering kick lately.

...And yes, you are right - this are Unipower M-Series (do not know the exact model number) trucks with are stated as Improved Medium Mobility equipped with the ABLE (Automotive Bridgelaying Equipment) of the BR90 (Bridging for the 90s) system.
The BR90 system comes with the so-called CSB = Close Support Bridge* (used by the Chieftain AVLB, which is now in the process of being replaced by the Titan AVLB) and the GSB = General Support Bridge, which is used by the ABLE.
There are two more versions of the Unipower M-Series in service. The BV (Bridging Vehicle), which is a Bridge Transporter used alongside the ABLE and the TBT (Tank Bridge Transporter), which supports the AVLBs.

Of course send them on, we all love pictures.

It looks like you could use a HEMTT cargo version to kitbash one of these trucks. Remove the spare tire on the side replace it with that louvered grill. Move the crane from the end to just behind the cab with the spare tire. The general outlines of the truck cabs are similar enough that once its on the game table te differences won't be noticable.

Hi,

I use Nato green. However many vehicles received a repaint recently. The well known green/black camo scheme is now mostly displaced by a rather glossy green

.
At last the green colors you find differ a lot (depends on age of the paint, usage of the vehicle and so on).
