Went to the Salute Con. on the weekend in Vancouver and there was barely any micro armour games , one that i saw.
I bought a pack of Sectons ,no tax . {Had to spell with a C and not an X as it censord it}
That's entertaining, as I was there. One was run on friday evening (command decision rules, used a mat and other things and not the hex setup normally for GHQ). They ran something all through Saturday as well.
There was something running on Saturday morning, Mein panzer I believe... early war desert combat...
I was running something on Saturday afternoon/evening. No-one signed up for it's allocated slot on the afternoon, but several people wanted to play it in the evening, so I bumped it down to Saturday evening. Had four people playing it, used Troy Ritter's Schwere Kompanie rule set. Was a bit of confusion as to how infantry to infantry combat is done, but we all had fun!
Can't say anything about Sunday, I had to work.
(yes, I'll have a few pics up eventually. Oh, and Troy, for your next iteration of rules, might want to add three more big examples to the middle of the rule set: Infantry firing on Infantry, Direct-fire Mortars, and Indirect-fire (possibly showing the variation between rockets and artillery. Just to clear up confusion).
Sadly, I missed the con this year - finacial stuff and all. Hoping to host in '09. I may attend Enfilade in Seattle though.
Sylvester, glad to hear you hosted up a game. I hope everyone enjoyed it. As to your questions: I assume you would like a section to have the charts and mods shown - similar to the ordnance examples? I will look into it.
PM me if you need anything explained or better yet, the Yahoo group.
Desert action with Saharania's, LRDG trucks, 2pdr portee's, M13/40's, PzIIf's, PzIII's, 8rad german a/c's, Marmon-Harrington a/c's, A10's and A13's. Using Mein Panzer rules.
The LRDG's, portee's and Saharana's got knocked out real quick! The guys didn't realize they could do a scoot, shoot, and scoot away in one turn until near the end...when there weren't too many soft vehicles left
