Paint colour suggestions for US woodland BDU's?

Post by olly_usafsoc »

Just attempting to paint my modern US troops, and cant seem to get the colours right for the Woodland BDU's, initially i tried painting too dark and so tried to lighen it for scale effect but the colours were way off, so can anyone help me? i prefer to work in Vallejelo (spelling?) acrylics primarily, but welcome help and information. I understand what they look like, i have a set at home with me now but i just cant seem to get the colours right...

Try intentionally painting too light. Then black wash. If I remember the camo pattern is 40% Nato Green, 30% Brown, 20% black and 10% sand.

One of the things in yrou favor is that when the bade the fatigues they cut everything off one huge sheet of cloth so the patterns on any one uniform hardly ever matched the ones next to it. The pattern was the same but it was positioned in different places on the body.
I pray for Peace on Earth Good will toward men. Till then one round HE fire for Effect!
