Best spray primer?

Post by ISNJH »

What is the best can spray primer to use for undercoating GHQ mini's I am finding undercoating each one of my tanks by hand a long task and am not getting the even coats I have gotten in the past with spray priming my mini's.

What black undercoat spray can primers would you recommend for the best results.

Thanks ahead for any advice anyone can lend me.

After trying several different brands over time (GHQ, GW, traditional auto primer, some kind of 'dork tower' brand, etc) I've come to use Tamiya brand primer. It's not the cheapest out there, but it has very good flow, adhesion, and a very fine spray that's very useful with microarmor.

Personally, I use light grey (http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.p ... t-id=87064 but I do know that they sell other colors, including black. I just can't seem to find it on their website.

A plus with their brand is that it can also be found in stores that supply mainly to model kit retailers and more generic hobby shops.

I like Tamiya too. I go with the grey, as it's a very light grey; they also have white, but no other colors
