Any Gamers in The Portland, Oregon Area?

Post by RobertTown »

I am looking for some MODERN gamers in the Portland/Vancouver area for either doing some gaming, OR to possibly sell my 1400+ modern micro armor collection to.
Here are some pics of what I have on Photobucket. Enjoy.

well I WISH I wasn't on the other side of the country from you, but unfortunately I am.

Really nice looking stuff though.

If you are putting any of it up for sale let me know.
Its a sniper rifle, not a "sniper"! You don't call an assault rifle an "assault"!

unfortunately I am close to the OTHER Portland. Hopefully you can find someone out there and don't have to sell, but if you DO wind up selling I would be interested in British and Soviets.

Some excellent photos of your figures. Thank you for posting the link.

I have a friend in the Portland area that is into Moderns and I do get down to Portland now and then. There is also a historical minis club that meets regularly in Hillsboro I could put you in touch with. Message me thru the forum here and I will put you in touch with them. Good group of guys.

There is an excellent historical convention in May each year in Olympia WA, Enfilade that I highly recommend.

If you are ever in the Seattle area or would like to make a trip up here, I have a garage devoted to miniatures and plenty of terrain for 6mm.

What Modern rules do you use?

That would be awesome.
I do go to Tacoma every now and then to visit with my wife's Grandmother.
I use the Modern Micro Armour The Game Rules by GHQ, I also have Challenger 2000 and Fields of Fire.

There is a great store in just outside Tacoma called Game Matrix. They have a good selection of GHQ products.

Next time you are headed towards Tacoma, please do let me know, I would love to get in some Modern games. I have a small collection of British and Russian figures but looking for an excuse to expand the collection.

Rule wise, I am very familiar with the GHQ rules, having been a play tester during their development.

I will send you a private message with my contact information.

I can also put you in touch with a historical gaming group in the Portland Area if you are interested.
