Summary of my 2009 works (lot of pics!)

Yet another year has passed. Time goes to fast, and nothing we can do about that. Looking twelve months back I find this year was quite controversial: I've encountered several troubles with my job, and this process isn't over yet, but as a somewhat compensation for this I made a lot of stuff in my hobby. So I want to share with you all my GHQ projects I've finished in 2009.

I must agree with RCT. I love the ACW stuff, but then again, my username may have betrayed my bias. I also must compliment you on the little Stalingrad vignette. Well done there Vladimir.

Great stuff all around. Although this is a review of the things you have done in 2009 it is great to see it again. I really like the detail on your infantry - both the 10mm and the 6 mm as well. I do appreciate the effective highlighting and shading on all your pieces and the way the paint is lightened for scale. This is something I learned just a few years ago and try to keep my pieces from being too dark. I do like the look on your SU 76's and the Panther - the colors look right and combined with your excellent shading and highlighting makes things really stand out. Excellent!

I like Your models very much. I see this Panther first time - it's great!
I can see a lot of nice word about Your stuff, but... bases are nice, but not so realistic like Your models . Static grass on a Panther base looks like a field after the whirlwind
Try to mix different materials and paint/wash it.

Have a more great models in New Year!

Beauitful work Warrior. I have a question for you and maybe you have answered this in the past. Do you game with these pieces? Or are you just a modeler and dont game with them?

I know for me i game in 6mm 15mm 25mm and 1/2400 1/1250 scales. It gets to the the point where you want to make the model or piece look awesome, but then one is afraid to game with it let alone let some one else touch or game with it. I know I have had many a sail or rigging on my 1/2400 ships get bent or broke off by tape measures chubby fingers etc. etc.. Or the dreaded orange cheettos fingers OMG!

But then when you are hosting a game you want everyone to appreciate and enjoy the game and eye candy or pretty models do it for most. So, its a catch 22

Yes, I plan to use all the shown stuff in wargames (Spearhead, FoW, Fire & Fury). I protect stands and figures with thick layer of matt varnish (though it a little obscures painted details). All vehicles are covered by Tamiya surface primer which gives good protection against "unskilled fingers".
