Yesterday I was researching Soviet/Russian Naval Infantry units online and came across the GlobalSecurity web page on the topic. As I was reading it I noticed that the number of vehicles per battalion was off by 2/3rds. Later on I found the article referring to the number of AT-3 stands that would be in the unit and realized that the page had to have been written by someone who was a gamer, specifically moderns given that his posts matched with a platoon/stand level game.
Has anyone else ever run across this in researching online information?
