Hey Tom :) The new specials change on a monthly basis, usually about a week or so before the end of each month.

Bish - agree it's a crying shame there's no 'modern' models this week, but the Vietnam models are a nice change... technically still modern I suppose :)

Ah well, look on the bright side mate, we get an AMAZING set of new gear coming out for moderns the end of this month!

AC-114 Mi-28 Russian attack helicopter
N-598 ERC 90 Sagaie- French 6-wheeled vehicle with 90mm gun
W-108 BM-27 Uragan- Russian MLRS
W-109 SA-10 Grumble- long-range surface-to-air

Seriously, each of those has me drooling at the mouth! So much potential!

*SF raids into territory to neutralise long range air defence systems* I really hope they have two packs, one with launchers, the other with the radars and command vehicle needed to make the battery function.

The Urugan is just a beautiful piece of machinery in my eye

The ERC 90 will provide some nice extra vehicles, 6x6 heavies like them are a nice addition for the French and many third world lists.

...and the Mi-28 is just the bees knees. Cannot wait to see that either - another design I just love the look of!

Hahaha, careful, that road leads to trouble if they ever find a receipt! ;)

That's quite an interesting choice although it must limit the scope with there being so few big naval battles in WW1?

Fireball, your strategy for protecting your wife (LOL) lasted about a week at my house. Hope your wife is as understanding as mine...

Chatto, just how old ARE you? BEES' KNEES?

Old enough to know better, young enough to keep doing it anyway Panzer ;)

I mean, if you want, I can go all military jargon and say it's ** CENSORED **-hot? :D

I have strted to develop stat cards for the ships, basiclly these are combination of stats from different rule systems but nicer looking a would post a sample but damn if i can work out how to doit.

Falklands in WW1? Hmmm, well I'll be! Had no idea that happened!

Learn something new everyday after all! :)

Your rule set sounds interesting! I'd be curious to have a gander at it once you're finished - would be eager to see if I could develop it for modern systems!

Chatto,

Speaking of military jargon, did you know that "SOL" dates back at least to the Spanish-American War?

With respect to the model of BB Kaiser, I think the issue refers to the fact that the starboard midships turret cannot bear directly forward. This is a realistic representation of the actual ship's configuration. This is not really a design "fault" but a minor limitation imposed by requirements for beam limits and bridge size. The resulting reduction in firing arc was not significant because experience with wing turrets firing close to superstructure tended to cause self-damage.

Fireball,

I advise you to encourage your wite to go out and buy a REALLY COMFORTABLE sofa of her choice. Just ask her to make sure it is long enough for you to comfortably stretch out on it...
