I want to get my infantry off their round bases which are flocked in order for me to strip them of paint and prime, and paint them again. I just want them to look better..
I just do not know how to proceed when they are in the green stuff and then how to rinse them without the infantry going all over the place.
Any help would be great.

What glue did you use to attach the figures and what are the bases made of?
As an example I used superglue 30+ years ago and 1/2" square thin (under .030") plastic bases and 3 of the 4 figures on each would just pop off when I flexed the plastic. On probably 90% of the remaining ones a careful pry with an exacto popped the last off. Those that didn't usually tore part of the base out. Again a careful cut between base and figure separated another 90%. The last ones were buggers and usually destroyed them.
As to stripping paint I used a one to two week soak in Yellow Pinesol. Then light brushing with a wire brush about the size of a toothbrush. It sounds aggressive but the minis held up. I only use enamels and the paint has varied in age from under a week to 40+ years.

Nothing works. Get infantry to clean up (or arguing with them) is like wrestling with a pig, everyone gets muddy and the pig loves it.
To break superglue bonds, you can try freezing the parts and then twisting them gently.
I've done it with plastic, resin (used for some model parts), and some metal parts..

Gen. Creighton Abrams (an ARMOR guy, incidentally) used it in VN to discourage his PAOs from arguing with the press. "When you wrestle with pigs, you both get dirty, but the pigs like it."
If your infantry was affixed to a base with Cyano-acrylate (super glue), you can use fingernail polish. The active ingredient in it is acetone, which you can purchase in the paint section of Home Depot. READ THE WARNINGS, HOWEVER. It is hazardous, requires ventilation and both the liquid and fumes are flammable. It also strips paint. Don't use a plastic container. Recommend steel or glass.
