Burt Wolf and Hoth 902 really nice work. I like the desert solid tan for the highlighting of the detail but I have always appreciated a good camouflage pattern. Like everyone else I just appreciate seeing the fantastic work from everyone it provides inspiration and some really great best practices.

Canvas question
How do you get the canvas to look like it has texture?

Hey Paul, I’m sorry I missed your message. If you are referring to the canvas on my trucks, I typically paint two different shades over a base coat. Then I use a wash, and then do dry brushing. The shades will vary depending on the vehicle in theater of war. I try to go for a pretty good contrast to the paint on the vehicle body. Don’t ask me why, but I love painting the canvas and trying to make it look different so the vehicles are unique. That is why I spend a little extra time painting a part of the model.
