Burt Wolf and Hoth 902 really nice work. I like the desert solid tan for the highlighting of the detail but I have always appreciated a good camouflage pattern. Like everyone else I just appreciate seeing the fantastic work from everyone it provides inspiration and some really great best practices.

Canvas question

How do you get the canvas to look like it has texture?

MIke ENG,

Thanks for the compliment. On an unrelated note, I have to say your name throws me for a loop sometimes.. My name is Mike and I am an ENG... Not sure why it makes me pause every time I read it.. LOL, but there you have it.

I would suggest a little less green area, though. Dark wash, dirt and dust, call it good.

Hey Paul, I’m sorry I missed your message. If you are referring to the canvas on my trucks, I typically paint two different shades over a base coat. Then I use a wash, and then do dry brushing. The shades will vary depending on the vehicle in theater of war. I try to go for a pretty good contrast to the paint on the vehicle body. The shades will vary depending on the vehicle in theater of war. I try to go for a pretty good contrast to the paint on the vehicle body. Sometimes I will do a second wash after the dry brushing. Don’t ask me why, but I love painting the canvas and trying to make it look different so the vehicles are unique. That is why I spend a little extra time painting a part of the model.

Nice to see Camastan rise again, looking great as always.

Work has started on a place for your embassy with the YB City redevelopment but it's going to take some time.

Burt, they look great sir. Appreciate the update on the canvas. I will need to try that on my next set of trucks.
