I will second th G-Wagon, as Canada uses them in Afghanistan. It's a pretty big hole for my collection to not have the G.
Yeah I've been using humvees instead, they were used by canadians for a short period in afghanistan, they were loaned I beleive.
I believe so too. Leo's are now there!
Yep. Too bad GHQ do not make the armoured patrol vehicles eh...

Scotia makes one that I might get.

What about some of the new vehicles for Iraq? Here are a few suggestions and some new "combat commands":

Cougar (JERRV - Joint EOD Rapid Response Vehicle)
D6 or D7 Armored Bulldozer
D9 or D10 Beast (Armored Bulldozer - Used by Israel too)
Duece Bulldozer (Deployable Universal Combat Earthmover)
HIMARS
M-1070 HET
M-1074 PLS
M-1079 2.5t Van
M-1082 2.5t Trailer for M-1078
M-1088 5t Tracker with either flatbed trailer or tanker trailer
M-1089 5t Wrecker
M-1090 5t Dumptruck
M-1095 5t Trailer for M-1083
M-1114 Uparmored HMWWV
M-1116 EOD version of the M-1114
M-1117 ASV (Armored Security Vehicle)
M-1151 Uparmored HMWWV with mine roller
Military Working Dog Team

Route Clearance Team: Buffalos, Huskies with mine roller kit, Cougars, RG31s, M1114/M1151
Convoy Security Team: M-1117s, M-1114/M-1151, M-1078 Gun Trucks, and some support vehicles
Armored FMTV Pack: 2x M-1078 2.5t, 2x M-1083 5t, 1x M-1089 Wrecker
Armored HEMTT Pack: 2x M-977 Cargo HEMTT, 2x M-978 Tanker HEMTT, 1x M-984 Wrecker HEMTT

I have to agree with everyone else, I would like to see M-50 Ontos, M-39, and M-103.

Harlan,

If youget tired of waiting you can make a reasonable substitute for the M-1117 ASV by taking the Turret from the AAVP-7A1 (stock # N143) and attaching it to the M-706 Cadillac Gage Commando (stock # VN8). While not 100% accurate it is the 80% solution and on the table top the differences aren't significant. Besides, this way you'll be able to field them years before they'll come off the GHQ production line.

Hi,

have to second Harlan's wish of the DEUCE as the Brits have it too 8) .

@Harlan: If I remember right the Buffalo is already planned by GHQ. With some luck you will find a new-items/Items-to-come-list somewhere in this forum...

Best greetings,
Ben

Ben,

You are right. GHQ is coming out with the Buffel. I would like to see it with an "EOD" pack. Now that I think about it, I also thought that GHQ was coming out with the M-1117.

I just thought of a couple more things for my list: Birdcage Armor for the M-93 Fox and M-113 and the S55 Landrover. The S55 Landrover is used by the Iraqi Army very extensively.

Hi again Harlan,

good thought on the Buffalo - I was wondering if GHQ may realize the Buffalo as part of an EOD Team?. We will see.
However do you have any photos of the M93 carrying Slat-Armour? I have one not very good photo in a magazine but I still didn't find anything on the web.

Are you sure about the S55 Land Rover? This one is rather old, I suggest that the Iraqi vehicles you mentioned are the newer armoured license built Land Rovers made by Otokar in Turkey.

Best greetings,
Ben

Ben,

The ones we have are British built, but I will doubt check the data plate. We have a mixture of new and old. I will try to snap a picture of the M-93, Buffalo, and M-113 with slat armor next time they visit our FOB.

Hi Harlan,

thanks a lot for the information! I am looking forward to see your photos. One more question - are the M93 in use all equipped with the RCWS now?
Maybe you can attach a photo of the new and old "armoured" Land Rovers as well?
The S55 you mentioned - do you know if this vehicles have been delivered before the 2003 war (so in fact are survivors of it)? I recently saw photos of heavily modified Panhard VCR APCs in use with the "New Iraqi Army", as well as report on the Iraqi Army showing the mentioned Otokar vehicle and Talah APCs.

Best greetings,
Ben

What's the difference in size between the G-Wagon and the Iltis? The reason I ask is to me, from pictures at least they look broadly similar and given the tiny size on the game table I'm willing to overlook some differences dues to cost. Which brings up another point (which I know is beating a dead horse) I can't stomach the thought of paying the same price for 5 little Iltis jeeps that I do for 5 MBTs. I need about 50 Iltis to flesh out my unit but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $89.50 for that. Okay, rant over.
