German Deck Color (WW1)
What color do you use to paint your WW1 German decks?

There is a good article on this at the following link:
http://german-navy.tripod.com/sms_paint-overview.htm
Wooden decks were generally kept natural
Metal decks were painted Anthracite Grey (dark gray)
Linoleum (Cortizene) was used to cover many of the upper deck areas and was a reddish or chocolate brown in color.
Turret tops varied from various grays to a black (deckfarben schwartz)
... and all of this could be completely wrong - but I think it is a safe bet to stay away from the pastels and polka-dots.
