GHQ Leopard 2A6
Hey all,
I was in the process of trying to get some leopard 2a5's from the other guy, but it's proving very difficult.
I noticed the GHQ leopard 2A6, it sounds good...seeing as I need quite a few though, I was hoping to see a few more pics of the model first.
Does anyone in the forums have pictures further to the one posted by GHQ? Painted/unpainted, anything is very helpful.
Thanks.

Well I hope you brought enough to share with the whole class!stevecolletti suggested:
I can email you some shots of Leo 2A6s that JB painted for me.

Seriously. Got pics? Why not post 'em up to the "Show Us Yer Stuff" thread? We'd all like to see them, I'm sure!

leopard 2A5
I use GHQ leopard 2A6 and have snipped alittle bit off the end of the barrel to produce the leopard 2A5. Primarily I have 2A6. It is a more robust figure than the other guys'.

The friends of Canadian Armour may be interested in this info:
I recently read that Canada plans to field Leopard 2A6M (modified version with improved mine-protection) from German surplus. This was mentioned in a weekly magazine this week. It is reported that the first 20 (or so) vehicles will be from German Army stocks. It was also mentioned that they plan to purchase a number of Leo 2A4 from us.
The Leo 2A6M are intended to go to AFG...
Cheers Ben

Nothing is for sure yet, but I'd be happy to see it...Ben wrote:The friends of Canadian Armour may be interested in this info:

Leos
Where abouts did you hear this information? I liked the Leos at Shilo few years back. They were very impressive but now they`ve gone back to Germany. I miss the Germans when they trained here at Shilo. If they stayed in Shilo our 2PPCLI would still be in Winnipeg.

Hi Shawno and Wayne!
Shawno said it - it was an article in the news-magazine "Der Dpiegel" but I bet you will also find such info via google.
For example I found this forum thread:

Best greetings from Germany,

That settles it for me, my Canadians now have Leopard 2A4 and 'A6's to use. About 12 years ago(perhaps 15 years ago), some Canadian forces were training down here and they have tested some Bradley's and this officer mention that Canada was going to buy Bradleys to field as tanks...well, the would be bad news for those crew members. But on occasion, I have deployed Bradley's and leopars 1's. Now I can use Leopard 2A6's with Bradleys.
Nice what it senario.
