You need to have the photo uploaded to something like flickr or whatever.

Then it's [ bracket, followed by img, then ] , followed by URL of the picture, followed by [, and /img ].

Hope this helps.
CAMA's description is correct, and uncomplicated.

If it still doesn't make sense to you, it might do you well to examine an example. Find any posting in one of the threads that has some pictures in it. Hit the "Quote" button as if you were going to reply to it. Now you can look at the text that was in the posting. You will see the strings exactly as CAMA has described it for you above.

Hope that helps, too.

BlackDragon.

cama was also 100% correct with your picture being "hosted" somewhere else on the web. It is up to us to find a place to "host" (or maybe "store" might be another descriptive term) the pictures we want to display here.

Some of us have our own websites -- and pay to have a server store those images for us. Others use a "hosting service" such as Flickr or Photobucket, to name a couple I've seen mentioned. I'm sure there are others... and I don't know which ones are "free" and which ones are on a "pay for" basis -- someone else with more knowledge than myself will have to fill us in on this point...

Once our pictures are on "someone else's" server, then we can link to them and post them here on the GHQ forum, using the method that cama has noted.

Hope this helps... and I look forward to seeing your pictures!

Woah BD, you're going to post some pics of your stuff? You sure you can do that with your Dial Up?

Seriously, I use Flickr for my image hosting, and FMJ uses photobucket. Both are free.
I wish I had something witty to say...
