any game stores near Ft Knox, KY that carry GHQ?

Post by Mark57 »

Greetings,

My son and I will be at Ft Knox this weekend (we leave Friday am from KC, MO) -- he wants to go the the Patton museum and also asked if there were any stores that carry GHQ near there (Loiusville, Radcliff, E-town etc) We will be staying in Radcliff.

I haven't been to tthe museum since I the mid-70s and I think the museum store sold them along with HO scale, they were green.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,
Sorry to tell you this, but most stores in the area will only special order GHQ. There are three gaming shops within 100 miles of Ft. Knox (2 in Louisville, 1 in Lexington) that play historicals. Check another thread here about this weekend's happenings at the Patton Museum. For more info, call me, I'm the only McKellar in the local phone book.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but which store in Lexington has historicals? I used to play at the 'Rusty Scabbard' a few years back but that was for 40k and I never saw anyone with historical or modern gaming in GHQs scales.

A buddy of mine just left from armored school there recently and told me that some of the pawn shops have micro armor....micro armor is required for armored school for training purpose

The store in Lexingto would be "Albright's". If you do a Google you should be able to find them. Their main historical is "FoW" with some Microarmour thrown in. They don't sell Microarmour but they'll tell you to order it straight from the manufacturer.

Thanks Olddat, I had heard of Albrights but was told it was mostly 40k scene, guess they were wrong.
