Gents, here is the final repository of most of the Marine Corps Gazette's Tactical Decision Games.

Yes, some included operations such as NEO's, but exactly which one(s) and if they met the editions included is beyond me. TDG's began in the very late 80's or more likely very early 1990's. I remember using one for my platoon on a med float in 1990.

pretty cool stuff. Anyone ever think of doing something similar on this forum? Every week or month someone can throw out a scenario and everyone else can take a stab at it. I'm sure there are some that frequent this forum that are tactics gurus. Those of us that are not could learn a thing or two. I've seen a creative writing forum where every month someone gives an "assignment" and the person voted to have the best response gets to pick the "assignment" next month. Something similiar might be beneficial for everyone here.
This might make a good new thread.

I would be all for that and a hearty thanks to all of those that reminded me it was the Gazette not Leatherneck that had those scenarios. I would definitely like to see the fine folks here throw out scenarios that could be done on the tabletop.

Several years ago, I developed a WW2 scenario that was during Operation Bagration, Battle for the Ptich River. A Russia mech-cavalry group is trying to capture a bridge against a motley crew of German rear units. The scenario had a random number of German civilians fleeing down the main road and over the bridge, complicating the task of the Soviet commander. In the game, his solution was just to machine gun anyone who got in the way. While perhaps a authentic response, I added a penalty when I published the scenario on my website.
