Using 'Combined Arms' by Frank Chadwick as the rule set, have modified data and some specific rules to play as 1-to-1. You are most welcome. Would you bring your own force or wish to borrow some? I am planning to bring a significant amount of stuff. About 10,000 figures, so we will have plenty.

Do you have a different set of rules that your prefer? If so, what appeals to you about those rules?

Thank you, chris

Sorry, I never heard of it. Thanks for the invite, but its just a little too far for me to travel right now ( I live in Wisconsin). As for the games I prefer,I usually play Panzertruppen- a game I designed. It is one to one scale 1"= 100M,and time scale 1 turn = 1 to 3 minutes. I like my game because it is all the games I've played rolled into one. Over the years I know what I like and hate in rulesets. With this in mind I put all the good preferences togehter and "hopefully" left out the crap. But you know everybody has their own taste. Lately I've modified MSH (Modern Spearhead). I ve modified it to a D10 standard and resolve combat in a 1 to 1 scale fashion. Each Micro vehicle stands for a platoon, but the vehicle or stand of infantry is mounted on a 11/4"X11/4" vinyl magnet with other magnets representing each vehicle in the platoon, or 1 to 1. I do like the stats for MSH, but really hate most of the rest of the game system.
Maybe one of these days I will make it to Florida, and then we will game.

Just a quick after action report from yesterday's game. We ended up with six players which included a couple of new people.

For a scenerio we put in a cup a random type of company. Each of the players where allowed to pick a nationality on their own. The optiions included an armor or a mech company or a cav group. Most of the players selected American units but there where two of us brave enough to select Russian forces. Next time I'll get those Germans moving.

In addition, there was a second cup that contained add on's. These varied from extra infantry company, helicopter, fixed aircraft, artillery, recon platoon, additional armor or mech platoon.

We broke the 6 players into 3 groups. The Russian team ended up defending a town in the middle while the US teams where on the sides. Needless to say both the opposing American groups felt it more important to hammer the Russians first and then focus on each other.

Robin and my son Hunter attacked hard on the Russian right flank. Kevin played the Russian right flank and made the American attackers pay dearly for the ground they took. I defended the left flank of the Russians. The team of Chris and Rob used a slightly different tactic. Rob game in hard while Chris used a more cautious approach. I rolled real bad while Rob rolled much better. Within a few turns most of my tanks where destroyed. I only ended up destroying a couple of Rob's tank but got a few of Chris's tanks before I was down to a single tank.

The scenrio lasted about 5 hours from start to finish. We missed a couple of our regular players who where not able to make the drive up from around Tampa. We meet again next month in Bowling Green, FL so we should have another after action report soon.
