Personally I would rather see GHQ put their effort into a completely new model instead of adding a Leopard 2A5 that can be made by anyone with a pair of clippers from a 2A6. But that's just my opinion.

I did not know that the Australian Centurions had an altered engine deck. What did they change exactly? As for the sideskirts in Vietnam, check out this page and scroll down to the foto with the Huey in it: http://www.diggerhistory.info/pages-arm ... turion.htm
But I agree with you on the need for Centurions without sideskirts, as they just look good and despite the above picture I think most Centurions would have been used without sideskirts in Vietnam. But it's kind of the same as with the South Africans, in the sense that we would need Australian infantry in bush hats with SLR's and the specific Australian M113's to make a specialized Aussie Centurion worthwile.
Therefore, I would rather see GHQ complete a more modern Australian range with the addition of just two vehicles: the Bushmaster and the Eurocopter, as I outined above.
