Hi gang,
I managed to get my hands on some 1x1 metal bases as well as some magnetic stripping upon which the other side is sticky. I am now at a loss as what I can use for this as all I have right now are just the plastic carrying trays for fishing tackle boxes and with the amount of mini's that I have, I would need to buy more in order to store them all. So, I am wondering from others out there that use this technique for transport and such, what sort of carrying device do you recommend?

Hi,
You might take a look at a tin DVD cases, not the ones to carry just a DVD 'disc' but the ones used to carry whole DVD plactic cases (just like some special edition DVD's are packaged, plactic case with 'disc' enclosed in a Tin box). The are flat inside (no inlay, no foam etc), and come in 190x140x20 mm size. which will hold up to 35 1/1 inch bases. They will not hold miniatures with custom built antenas for example, but all my GHQ 1/285 stuff fits inside just fine.
