A super list. Never enough to keep everyone happy, but a very nice list of releases that fill many gaps. The CVE Sangamon is a great choice as they saw a great deal of combat, where many CVE's were not much more than aircraft transports. I also appreciate the continued focus on the modern front. I would like to see some ACW 10mm Iron Brigade figures though! Thanks for the great products and service!

Yes, agreed. There are SO many new ships in the last decade. Also to mention growing navies. The Russians are cruising the Kuznetzov and other ships. Look at the Indian Navy, they are getting to be a naval force to be reconed with. Some of the Indian ships are Indian made with no chance of "kit bashing" another ship.
And personally I need some Arliegh Burke Flt IIa's...And lets mention all that great new Littoral combat stuff that just about everybody is using!
It seems that if you want to wargame modern naval you need to go 1/700 or 1/6000. The GHQ line is stuck in the '80s
PSSst its now 2008!
Even for being stuck in the 80's they're not all there. I just spent another $80 with a new UK company because they've got Falkland War era stuff that no one else is making. Once I get a better picture of some of their other models I'll probably end up dropping another $40 before its all over. Maybe that's not much from a single person for a single purchase or maybe its not enough for a large company to maintain a healthy profit margin but I like to think I'm not alone. If I am alone I'm going to have a hard time explaining all these voices.
Here's one other "modest proposal" for marketing maybe we should call it a "KriegsMarine 08". Its certainly no less plausible than the Japanese cartoon show that brought the Yamato back for space combat or imagining the Soviets not crushing the Germans by January '46 at the latest.
Sorry, you got me started again, there's some beer I have to go cry into.

So far he has done HMS Hermes and the aircraft she carried. Not the same quality as GHQ but as I said its a step in the right direction. I think his intention is to make a broader range of aircraft and he puts out new ships every month or so, so... eventually I think we'll see skyhawks and mirages.

I started to aquire the 1/6000 line of ships because of the more"completeness" of the line. I can now actually have the correct ships for DesRon 31. Even in this scale you can definitely see the difference between the Arliegh Burke and Flt IIa versions. On the same token the small patrol craft may be used as any type of Littoral combat ships even if you you don't have the exact right type.
I just purchased a USS Whidbey Island to only discover that it comes with 5 seperateLCACs ..and the detail of this line is truly amazing...
For aircraft I still use 1/700 because of their size and detail in this size. I been working on clear plastic bases that allows one to put data on the base with wet erase pens. This data can include alt, speed, weapons , fuel, heading, etc, etc.
Never a dull moment here...
I'd like to see more Battle Boxes come out. I like the ones that they have out already, but it would great to see some others, such a couple of North African (British vs Italy and/or British vs Germany) ones and possibly some Cold War (NATO vs Warsaw) or even an AIW battle box (T-55 vs Sherman Mk50) and so on.
My 2 cents worth

I'll second that on more battle boxes. I think the combat commands in general are absolutely key to expanding the hobby. I've been playing with a group in Virginia for about 18 months, and we've drawn perhaps a half dozen new players. Almost universally, they start with a combat command. I think a broader selection of combat commands and battle boxes could only help in this regard.
After all, it was the modern West German combat pack that drew me in back in 2003 (was it that long ago?) and I've now got about 5,000 minis and infantry stands, more than half of them GHQ (probably closer to 65%, but the collection is large enough now that a full inventory is rather daunting)
The ACW line needs freshning. and the charging cavalry is a great idea. After watching Gettysburg's 145 anniversary reenactment this year with the 500+, 1 to 1 scale cavalry charges I think that it will be great fun to war game with them on the table top. Lets go with the frock coat infantry as well.
For the future it might be good to consider landing parties and some cross over N scale model RR items for the ACW. For the RR items 28/30 foot Box cars, flat cars and passenger cars along with a conversion kit for the Bachmann 4-4-0... These would possibly have a sufficent market from the two communities and fit in with both product lines. As a carry over from earlier discussions an N scale balloon would also work in the proposed crossover wargame model RR line. There would also be some Nn3 model RR interest as well.

I think your idea of cross-over products for N gauge is just fantastic. Oh how I wish the same could be done with the 1/285 micro armor ("ZZ gauge" with some minor amount of train stuff from Japanese toy makers).
Now, for the rest of you boyz: Hey, did you see? The Fiesler Storch is now available! New stuff typically does not show up just one at a time, so there may be more showing up soon! Oooh, gotta check and check again!

I would like to see a new range, WW1. I like to paint the smaller 6mm infantry, and in a WW1 game You would have plenty. Then there were just a couple of tanks, and finally what I really love are the planes. For example yesterday I bought a 1:72 plastic model, a Fokker E III. Wonderful! Add some bulky artillery pieces, no need of trucks or limbers because there are already some in the WW2 range, and You can play the "early rommel".
