... For me if it came down to these choices I would start hunting and fishing and go to riding my bike before selling any of my Micro Armour

I don't know any of the details about your specific situation, but I do know that if I were in a similar situation, I would agonize about the need to liquidate my collection.

Whatever is requiring you to do this, I hope that things work out OK for you.

Best wishes, Don S.

Thank you gentlemen, about 200 of us were laid off this past week, no warning no nothing. That being said it sucks to be the low man on the totem pole when it comes to that kind of thing.

Its a hobby so sadly Ive gotta move them. What Im charging as a buy it now is $67 dollars under what I paid GHQ for them. Again thank you for the well wishes and pms. All the best, Jonathan

... here in my town GM is shutting its plant by the end of the year. Other periphial jobs hvae gone too. 10 years ago this plant employed 7500 workers, today less than 2000. Now those will go. I'm lucky (some days thats debatable!) be be in a different line of work- mass transit.
As for the toys being sold off Donald Sheefe said it-very difficult. For me it still is a last resort. Its already come to that decision over 20 years ago, and I'm glad I didn't sell...
The best to you.

Very sorry to hear about your situation. I got laid off last year from EMC mortgage during the mortgage industry meltdown...never missed a day of work, completed every assignment to perfection, did everything I was supposed to do and pretty much our entire department got launched.

I never sold my SPI games or my GHQ minis even when things looked darkest since I knew I could never replace them. My eyes are no longer what they were, and certain camo patterns (like my 3 color camo patterns and decals on my WW2 German I know I can never do again)...

Some of my Avalon Hill and SPI monster games I've had since the mid 70s and some of my GHQ minis are from 1978.

I will keep you in my prayers and hope that you land something real quick so you don't have to lose anything. Any time you spend time and effort painting and creating these minis part of you goes into them, to lose them is like losing part of your soul...

I wish you the best and hope you do not have to cross that bridge.

Luftwaffe Flak:
You may want to consider pulling these off. The money will only help with 1 or 2 days tops! I looked at your Ebay ad and even if you sold them for what your paying it won't make a difference finacially. I have been where you are. When a CEO B**** decided some rag head in India could do my job better than me. I recovered.

There will be days that you will be totally worthless emotionally and mentally to look for another job, and those mini's can actually help you find work. You will welcome those mental health days that you will need to just paint and clear your head.

Trust me some days during your job search you are better off paining a couple of figures rather than blowing an interview when your stressed about finacial matters and the wife is complaining.

Anyway we are pulling for you! I'm sure if any of us can help with recruiters or networking you can ask.
