I Like the releases for the Micronauts but I am slightly disappointed though on the number.
I would like to have seen the 12 that are normally released.
I would of have liked to seen the Vestal, Lion, Taiyo, Amagi & Aden Maru, Cobert, Emile Bertain, Black Prince to name a few.
Ahhh No merchies for us U-Boat commanders or USN Gato commanders, guess we bite the bullit till next year.
But at least I can breath now!
As for the 8 ships released Wowhooo. Each are new ships & that means representing 8 classes , well OK I can't do the Emerald yet.
Don't get me wrong GHQ I love the releases just wish some other could have made the cut. Lion, Lion Lion to match the H-39 and Montana.

My hats off to you GHQ; best year yet. Thank you for the new T72, Panzer IVG, M1A2TUSK, Tortoise, M39, M4A3(76), US Infantry, Chinese Infantry, Super Pershing, Centurion, and the rest of the '47 line. Very good selection of ACW and micronuats. I do no care what other people type, you did a very good job selecting your choices.

Speaking as a 1/2400 scale ship collector, while it's a light list (only 8 new ships), all of the new ships in next year's line-up are on my wish list, and will be on my purchase lists too when it comes time to buy.
I can continue to add to my cage mast fleet (many thanks for the BB VIRGINIA and ACR TENNESSEE), and I can now begin forming my WW1 Russian Black Sea battle squadron - now I can try to contain the GOEBEN. And as a Xmas gift, GHQ has given us a WAIR V&W DD and (at long last) a pocket battleship other than GRAF SPEE.
And for our WW2 ground colleagues, finally there is the Matilda 1. With all that's been written about needing that little tank, even I might consider picking up a pack (if only to see what all the discussion was about)
No doubt we all would have liked to see even more of our pet favorites, but given our seemingly endless wishlists, the GHQ team made some good picks and is giving us some great new ships over the next year! Keep that good stuff coming! Thanks GHQ!!

I have to echo the sentiments above. I'm not particularly interested in Napoleonics or ACW, I'm still building my Micronauts and WW2 Germans, but I'm glad they were included. I think this is the most complete release yet. There is something for everyone and i will finally get to order myself a Admiral Scheer with GHQ quality. Merry Christmas to me. Fewer aircraft this year but last year was kind of heavy on them. Well done, I may even try some of the '47 line coming out. And finally we don't have to listen to folks whining about the Matilda 1, everybody should be happy. Great jorb!

As happens every year, I am quite impressed by the list.
I am not too excited about the whole "Wehrmacht 1947" stuff. I don't begrudge others who find it interesting, but it is just a bit too far into fantasy for my tastes. But ... (and as I had hoped) ... it seems it is leading to some genuine late 1940s / early 1950s allied kit -- Brit, USian, and Soviet. Now THAT is some stuff I can get my mind (and my wallet) wrapped around! I just love early cold-war what-ifs.
Looks like there will be several new infantry packs. I am just hoping against hope that we'll see some greatcoats, Mosin Nagant rifles (WITH BAYONETS PLEASE!) and PTRD or PTRS anti-tank rifles in those Soviet kits. May be time to replace/upgrade my Soviet infantry (oy, that's battalions worth!!!)
Also the US infantry upgrades/additions look interesting.
Glad to see the charging Cav for ACW. And so much more. Modern Chinese inf? Prolly need some of those too.
And ... FRENCH AMR-35? Where the crepes did THAT come from? Great addition, but who listed it where? I was thinking of getting some from Brand-X in the UK. Guess I'll get quality instead.

I'm going to second, third, fourth... the previous comments and say that although there isn't a lot in this list that specifically interests me, it is a very good spread, and certainly likely to be a popular increase in the range.
All my micro ships have been 1:3000 scale. I started collecting them over 20 years ago. I looked at the micronauts when they came out but they were too small a range. With this release schedule I had a look at my existing navies and checked them against ships currently available in 1:2400 scale, and can now replace the lot. Finally the range has not just caught up, but passed navwar in availability (they no longer supply shops, all their stuff is by snail mail to the UK.) This means my eventual planned naval expansion cannot proceed in 1:3000, but now can be done in 1:2400... so long as I'm willing to fork out about $500 to replace the current models in a new scale...
I have had thoughts about the 1947 range. Basically along the lines of building a 'realistic' combat group for the germans (nothing at full strength) but having the missing units filled out from the 1947 range. Basically taking the position that fielding a full strength german battlegroup in late war is as much a fantasy as any of the 1947 stuff, it works for me. (One example, I have a company of Tiger II's, with 10 vehicles. They stay as is for WW2 games, but if I add one platoon of Tiger III's to fill out the company, it's a 1947 group)
Anyway, a nice selection. I'm sure some people will be happy about the Matilda I's. *grin*

The cavalry are here! And it's great to see the ACW line is continuing to be expanded with the infantry in frock coats.
Really looking forward to the French line lancers as well. I'm going to make a rash prediction that they will be as fine-a-looking set of figures as have graced any wargames table.

Lovely stuff! Frankly, waiting to find out what's going to be on the list is part of the fun - real commanders can't just have anything they want when they want it. If there was nothing left to wish for, we'd get bored anyway!
Regarding the Tortoise, the minimum armour thickness was 35mm and the maximum was 225mm. There's one at Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset, England - which has almost everything you can think of in working order - and my measurements were 0 degrees for the sides, 10 degrees for the front, 30 rear, 45 degrees for the front structure and 0 for the rear structure. Hope that helps but I'm sure the museum can give you exact figures.
