WWII Engineers and Pioneers

Post by WargameHub »

Good morning, I noticed last night that US Engineers and German Pioneers weren't listed in the Microarmor WWIII rule book. Any thoughts on what the points for these stands should be?

Yeah, it's one of those little oversights/typos that the WW2 rules are riddled with. Annoying isn't it. But not to worry - they are listed in the Modern rules. I consider them a set. Basic Game (WW2) and Advanced Game (Modern).

These are the point values you seek:

Engineer "A" (1939+) - 12 pts
Engineer "B" (1943+) - 13 pts

These are generic units. The Modern Rules don't differentiate infantry types by nationality, only by capabilities.

Hope this helps.

WargameHub,

It's really not an oversight, just hard to find.

Look on page 107 right hand column in the rule book. Its listed under the paragraph "Engineers".

"Players may convert normal infantry to engineers by paying an additional ten(10) points per stand." "Engineers allowed as part of normal organizations do not cost extra." So the cost would be the same as an infantry stand.

Hope this helps.
