BKC and CWC are my preferred choices of WWII and Modern gaming. Nice, and dead simple.
I see where GHQ is coming from with their packaging policy. Each (Combat pack) contains enough vehicles for the standard ME in their rules (ie 1 command tank, and 4 for the Plt) in most cases. It works for tanks, but not that good for command and support units.
The moral high ground: A good place to site your artillery.
I love to have an M-103 Heavy Tank, sure someone else makes 'em but they are't up to GHQ standards.
Plus another blast from the past the ol' M-44 155mm SP gun.
On the modern end how about the Russian BM-30 Smerch and BM-22 Uragan MLRsystems.
A cool idea for a boxed set would be a PMP pontoon bridge set, with bridge sections( both folded and deployed), power boats to keep it in place, and the trucks to carry it all.
Maybe I've been watching my "Operation Dnieper" video too much.
"The lack of infantry has stopped me from purchasing a couple hundred dollars worth of AMX-30's and Leclerc's."
I'm sure I've asked this before, but what is the difference in the infantry? I noticed that when I painted up my modern Germans and Russians there were differences in weapons carried, but you are not going to see that when on the table. I've added German (which is the US modern inf pack) to my Soviet Battlegroup and I can't tell the difference at range. Why does this stop people from buying as the above suggests?
