So, all litigation & business plans aside, I am looking for a way to stripe my carrier decks. If anyone has a successful method they're willing to share, my Hornet and Kaga would be grateful.
My first thought was the dry rub-on decal method, or perhaps a paint pen? If anyone can spare my stumbling throughout the Internet, that'd be really cool! Thanks in advance.

I used to use a "ruling pen." I'm going to chance a link here since the it is clearly not a competitor with GHQ, and I would think that a ruling pen might be something that would support the the sale of their products.

It's the third pen down. I used to be a wiz with the thing back in my technical drawing days. The wheel opens and closes the pincers to vary the line weight.
Basically, you use a straight-edge, and holding the pen perpendicular to the edge, and slanted slightly in the direction you are ruling. You will need a very light hand. Don't overload it with ink. I believe you can buy white india ink, which would be best. But if you can't find that, thin down some white water based paint to an ink consistancy. It's good when you are ruling over an uneven surface.
With practice you can get good results, but it will take some practice.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
