Stars and Bars Color Suggestions?

Hello all,

I am getting ready to paint my CSA flags for my 10mm Infantry regiments. What color is that flag anway? It's not orange, it's not red.

Any suggestions.

I use Miniature Paints, which here in the UK are available through Ral Partha (Europe), and their scarlet is an orangey-red that looks pretty good as the field for the Confederate battle flag.
