Thinking ahead to making a european hex battlefield and wondering how I can make the rows of dragonteeth ,the pyramid type on the border of germany
Alan
You can make one strip with a Fimo like clay. Bace it in the oven so its hard and then pour latex over it to make a mold. Then use plaster of paris to make dozens of them.
Make a dragon's-tooth-shaped punch out of whatever -- a bit of old plastic sprue or wood or whatever you have lying around.
Get some wax -- the soft, oily beeswax they use on rounds of cheese is ideal -- and roll it out flat and about 10mm thick.
Indent it with lines of dragons-teeth, and fill the indentations with epoxy, running a little between each indent to create a connection. Wait for it to cure, and pull out your line of dragons-teeth.
Repeat to suit. If the wax gets munged up, just smooth it aout and start again.
If you have a meat hammer/tenderizer in your kitchen, there is often a flat side and the other side has row upon row of prymid shaped teeth.
Make a mold of these teeth, I used the laytex rubber molding liquid and painted the laytex on in several layers, with a layer of gauze or cheese cloth for reinforcement.
Then a cast the teeth in plaster, and I have all the Dragons teeth I can make
Good Luck, Bill
