Reference works for WWII Regimental Combat Teams

I am looking for general information about Regimental Combat Teams in WWII, how and when they where formed, both permanet and temporary. All works I can find refer to specific RCT, I have not seen a general reference on the subject

This is a s close as I have found

From FM 7-40 Feb 9, 1942 Infantry Field Manual Rifle Regiment:

91 151. TACTICAL GROUPING.-The infantry regiment may be
grouped with a battalion of light artillery and units of other
arms in suitable proportion. Such tactical groupings are
called combat teams and their composition may be prescribed
in standing operating procedure.

Reading numerous AARs and unit histories, a common RCT organization seems to be an Infantry Regiment reinforced by:
a battalion of artillery
a company of tank destroyers
a company of engineers
a battery of AAA
a reconaissance troop

I picked up Armored Infantry Battalion tactics over the weekend. I had no idea the armoured divisions had so many variations. My next project after the infantry.
