GHQ Superb customer service
Just to say I recently bought a GHQ Mig23 from a dealer in the UK and on checking the miniature found that I didn't have a correct part (wing). I emailed GHQ in the US and received a letter containing the correct part within 5 days!!!! That's superb customer service in my book

I guess that means GHQ is modeling the Soviet Design and Procurement Bureau.Dougie wrote:Just to say I recently bought a GHQ Mig23 from a dealer in the UK and on checking the miniature found that I didn't have a correct part (wing).

Problems with GHQ products are few and far between, but when they occur GHQ is very fast at correcting them. Once I ordered some half tracks, and they arrived without the AA MGs, I e-mailed GHQ about it and they sent replacements within about 5 days, actually they sent enough for spares.

The moral high ground: A good place to site your artillery.

I too will echo this sentiment.Panzerleader71 wrote: Problems with GHQ products are few and far between, but when they occur GHQ is very fast at correcting them. ...
I've bought products from other micro-scale vendors that were quite honestly unusable. Poor castings, missing pieces, and sometimes just too badly modelled to be of interest to me. In almost all of those cases I was just kind of "out of luck". Makes it a bit of a gamble to order when they do business that way.
But GHQ has always delivered up to, and beyond, my expectations. First they provide pictures of their models, so I can see what I'm going to order. And secondly, the one or two times when I did have an issue with an order, I found they were very polite and very quick to resolve the matter to my full and complete satisfaction.
My advice: Buy with confidence. And if you ever get something from GHQ that you think is just not quite right, let them know! I bet you'll be impressed by their willingness to make it right.
(I don't speak for GHQ, but solely as one particular satisfied, and enthusiastic, customer.)

My outstanding customer service story relates to a model of the Montana I bought at a hobby store going-out-of-business sale. About a year after I bought it, I finally got around to assembling it. Unfortunately, one of the turrets had malformed gun barrels, so I emailed GHQ asking whether it was possible to order a replacement part. Immediately they sent me a replacement at no charge.
When a model is available from GHQ and some other company, I will unhesitatingly buy the GHQ item. The few dollars you might save doesn't make up for the loss of quality and service. These days the only reason I (reluctantly) buy from anyone else is because the model is not available from GHQ, and when it becomes available I will replace whatever I have bought with the GHQ version.

GHQ is the pinnacle of our hobby, IMHO.
Not only do you get the fantastic detail, but EVERY time I've ordered and dealt with the service people at GHQ, everything has been handled far beyond my expectations.
One of the reasons I've used almost nothing except GHQ since 78. Both their models and their service are absolutely outstanding.

Why, in my day, we didn't have counters. We had to paint the unit values onto little rocks. maps?! Hah! We had no paper maps! We put our rocks in the dirt. It sucked when it rained, but we soldiered on!!! Don't get me started on dice...
