Tammy:
In any case, now we at least know what vehicle they intend to produce, and knowing it under it's various "use-names" helps find information about it.
Personally, I'd consider this to be a 251 series vehicle, and a close look at everything back to the drivers visors shows that most of it is of 251 configuration; with the box-shaped section added on at that point.
But it really doesn't matter, and even German sources don't seem to agree...
At least it's a legitimate WW2 vehicle, with a substantial production total; though unfortunately far too late war for my current needs.

Thanks' to Jim and Greg for continuing the ACW line expansion.

These were essential for a game that was in the back of my head and with their release I now plan on using then at Cold Wars 2011 and then Historicon 2012 in a Fredericksburg Regimental Fire and Fury 3 game series that starts with the river crossing then does the Union attracts on the left and ends with the fight at Marye's Heights in front of the wall.

Cheers!

Great list, I'm more than thrilled with it. The AMX-VCI was the absolute number one on my list. I have Scotia & Skytrex, and I need better. I'll be buying many. Plus so many other good models -- T72 with reactive armor, M1 breacher, bunch of others. Best release list in years.

I am glad to see more new Combat Commands coming out. The PLA CC is an interesting choice, should lead to some good "The Bear vs. The Dragon" gaming. 8)

Though I do question the US MRAP CC, however :? but then again I am an Old Guard Cold Warrior, the one sided Gulf Wars, and current asymmetrical conflicts of today just don't interest me as wargaming material. I'd rather face off against a Soviet MRD on the German Plain, then a bunch of mountain men in A-stan.

Overall a good list, lots to look forward to. :D

I can see my US troops in great coats marching to the wall on my Fredricksburg scenery now. April is a long time but I am in for at least 30 bags if that will move the schedule at all!

New releases

Post by stenna00 »

I would like to second most of the things pmskaar mentioned in his wish list. In particular I would really like to see the PzIIIM with sideskirts released by GHQ. I have bought some from another company but they do not look as good as GHQ PzIIIs and I would gladly replace them with GHQ models. :(

Also, I would like to see the M4A2 as used by the British in Sicily and Italy. Vast numbers of these were made and I cannot understand why GHQ do not make them. :(

I am however very happy about the 6pdr portee and the Grille. I have asked for both of these models so I suppose I should not complain. At least GHQ do bring out new stuff all the time, unlike some companies. :D

Thanks to all those who provided details about the sdkfz 11 SPAA. I had never heard of it, but clearly it did exist and was made in large numbers. I am not sure if I will be purchasing it though.

Thanks, GHQ.

I'm at least as excited about this year's releases as I was disappointed in last's -- seems to have balanced in my favor.

But I still want more irregulars or all types.

Thanks

Hi all,

that is a brilliant new item list.
My favourites are the SA-15, Namer IFV and the AMX-VCI.

Kind regards,
Ben
