GHQ Re-dos
There are some old vehicles in the GHQ list that need a slight update.
Here are a few that I am looking at right now
BMP-1
M113 (needs a machine gunner)
M15O TOW vehicle (to make it look as least as good as the ACAV.
I know that GHQ already has its hands full with requests for one-of-a-kind vehicles and "projected" vehicles, but these are kind of standard weapons for the '70s and "80s.
Any more ideas??

GHQ Redos
Here are a few of mine. These are ones that are showing their age and could use a newer and better model. My main areas of interest for micro armor are WWII, Cold War, and the 1967 and '73 Arab-Israeli Wars.
T-62. This one has been around for a very long time. I have lobbied for a new model of this one before and maybe we will see an updated one.
BMP-1. I agree. A new model with a separate turret.
BTR50 series. This one could be updated. Not sure what version is the one GHQ currently makes.
T-60 for WWII. The current model is okay but not as crisp as some of newer models by GHQ.
BRDM series. These are not bad but could be a updated with a crisper model.
An Israeli M-48. GHQ recently did the M48A3 model which is great for Vietnam but I believe the Israelis acquired the M48A2's which had 3 return rollers not the 5 that the current model has. A 105mm gun would be great as well and maybe the Israeli style cupola. Not a strict redo here but an additonal M-48 or two is needed.
M4A1 Sherman with 76mm gun. Since GHQ is making a later version of the M4A1 for later war use, perhaps they can update their current model of this one as well. I believe it used the same T-23 turret as the M4A3 w, 76.
JS III. This one is showing its age. Good choice for either Wehrmacht 47, early Cold War or Arab-Israeli.
Some of the smaller vehicles such as the Kubelwagen, Jeep, motorcycles, German 37mm AT guns could be updated as well. The ones that are currently produced are okay but could be brought up to even higher standards.
There are probably a few more that I forgot but this list should do it for now.

Good list guys. I would also add a nice crisp M163 and M577 to the list. The M113A3 needs to go away in its current form and be made accurate. The stuff for the Arab-Israeli would be great to see - maybe even a mdoified M3/M5/M9 Halftrack in Israeli configurations.

GHQ Redos
Brad, I agree with the halftracks. These were still the primary means of infantry transport even during the '73 War. I would like to see these. There are also a couple of self propelled artillery pieces that GHQ could do for the Israelis as well for this time.
I am glad to see some of the older Russian equipment getting done such as the BTR 152, and the BTR 40. Some "Arab" infantry would be nice as well.
By the way, what is wrong with the M113A3 model that GHQ makes? I admit I don't know so thought I would ask.

GHQ's M113A3 was created when the Army had the concept of having additional armor on it - something that was never widely used (nothing like this was used in Desert Storm or OIF). There was an actual M113A3 that looked like GHQ's, but it never made it into production like that and very few armor kits were ever used. The widely used M113A3 in Irag (OIF) (and still in use today) had the fuel tanks mounted outboard on the rear and a larger front sponson among other things. GHQ's M113A3 is kind of just a blob of pewter. The other guys have a very nice M113A2, but it really doesn't fit in with GHQ sized M113's.

I would like to see a re-do of #RA3 the Romanian 47mm Schneider AT gun kit.
I envision it redone to actually include a 47mm Schneider AT gun (47mm Cannone Anti-Char Mle 1936 in French parlance), rather than the 47mm APX AT gun (47mm Mle 1937) it now provides. Barring the creation of a new model, perhaps it could be shifted to be a 47mm Bohler gun (identical to the Breda 47mm AT gun already available in the Italian line-up), which would at least provide an AT gun on the Romanian list that the Romanians used.
I also would like to see the prime movers for the 47mm AT gun changed from the SdKfz 11 to a Protze or similar light/medium truck, as may have been available in the early part of the war, when the two 47mm guns used by the Romanians (the Bohler and the Schneider) formed the backbone of the Romanian AT gun force.
Or if we are set on the SdKfz 11 as a prime mover, maybe we can have a 75mm Resita M43 AT gun for it to tow, thus matching the Romanian service of the prime mover and the gun to the same late-war timeframe.

REDOs redux
My thoughts exactlyon the M-113A3 . The applique armor was never issued to the field as was anticipated in the late 80's. They had planned on using it to upgrade the National Guard's M-113s so that the mech battalions in the later deploying divisions would not have to be equipped with Bradleys.
My desire is for GHQ to consider revamping the US 5Ton truck model. The current one is a "hybrid" between the M920 series and M-800 SERIES 5 ton. The M-920 has the spare tire and exaust behind the cab in a "gap" between it and the bed. The GHQ model does not , nor does the wrecker version. Also, the truck reflects the old 10 wheel version and not the 6 wheel "bigfoot" version the army and marines used (and still uses). I also beleive that the current 5 ton could be revamped to reflect the M-800 series so that it would not look so darn out of place on the table for a Vietnam type scenario. Also, have the cargo bed as a separate piece to allow us scratch builders to try our hand at creating gun trucks or making other versions like wreckers and tractors. The M-800 version could fit in any US scenario from 1952 up to present day. (Yes, there may be a few still around in Guard and Reserve service).
Im not one of those who complains about any little nitpicky thing out of sorts on a model, however, if you guys want to tackle a current old casting and make it better, The 5 ton would be a great start

Good list guys.
M113A3 without extra armor. Side stowage racks that can be glued would be great.
BMP-1 with separate turret so as BRDM-2 which could use more aggressive tires.
T-62 for sure. M923 with spare behind the cab and 'Big Foot' wheels.
Would like to add few:
WC-51/ WC-62 to the standards of the other Dodges.
Willys Jeep
BMD-1 since the current model represents very, very early vehicle.
BTR-70
M88 to current standards.
Would be nice to see variants of the vehicles above:
BMP-KShM, BMP-1D + BMP-2D.
T-62 w/BBD package.
M934 command post, M930 dump truck.

Dittos on the redo of the F-4 Phantom. I once tried to do a little slicing and sculpting on the F-4E model and it wound up looking like an RF-4C. I was wanting to make it look like an F-4J.
Also while we are on the subject of redos, I think the M-114 C+R vehicle either needs a massive redo or just be discontinued. I have some in my collection, but I doubt I have ever had any desire to use them . I would also suggest to GHQ to discontinue the AH-Q model and do what the Army did in 1980 .............TURN THEM INTO THE AH-F !!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, my last gripe for a redo has to be the ZSU-57-2 model. The barrels on the turrets are very flimsy and I had on mine to cut them, dremel out new holes and put in thin wire rods for barrels. Then because they looked a little funny, I flocked them to hide the offset and it now looks like a NVA T-54 coming down the road on the terrain board with a tree growing out of it.
Sorry for the rant.

My only concern with redoing some of the minis put out by GHQ is that it invalidates certain eras or theaters. For example, the new model of the T-72M1 is an export model, and not the same as the T-72 (exactly) that would be used in Europe by the Soviets in Cold War scenarios.
If they plan a re do I think they should also keep the original, particularly if it has ties to other eras of conflict.
