GHQ paint thinning

Post by Throm »

I have bought some GHQ paint to try and would like to know if i would need to thin this paint out or is it good to go from the jar? If i need to thin it out, any advice on how much and how to would be greatly appreciated.

Also i just bought my first round of GHQ WWII micro armour and i must say WOW nice detail. BIG thumbs up!

Not sure about GHQ paint specifically, but how thin the paint needs to be is a pretty personal thing. A freind of mine and I have fairly similar paint styles, but I tend to thin out the paint more than he does. Same end effect, but it goes on differently.

Best I can tell you is to play around with it and find out what you like.

I've always used GHQ paints straight from the jar. If they start drying on my palette I just add a touch of the Universal Solvent (aka Water) or a touch of the blue Automobile Window Cleaner.

Thanks for the replies.. I so far like what i see from the GHQ paints and decided to use them right out of the jar, works great..now once i get my wash down i will be rolling along. :)
