250/3 Model

Post by Firefight »

Is the new release, 250/3, supposed to come with aerials since it is a radio/command vehicle? Are these supposed to be photo-etched?

Let's get some pix up of these things so we can see what we get. Sub-Saharan Infantry too!

I received the 250/3 command vehicles and there are no aerials included. I guess I shall carve up some of the leftover aerials from the 232 RAD's I have.

I'll bet those parts were "left out".

I suggest to make the missing aerial with thin wire. It is a simple shaped rectangle with four legs and not elaborate as the aerial of the SdKfz 232.

In any case it is a bit surprising that a model chracterised by its aerial is produced without it.

If the model is of a 250 "neu" there is an alternative without the rectangular aerial and with "star" aerials.

I realize that it has become a norm for manufacturers not to show how the final product looks like, it's built quality from their webpages. GHQ has done a comparatively much better job than many of its competitors and I hope they can maintain this standard. Not sure how difficult it will be to prepare a photo to give consumers a fair chance to see what they are ordering. If it is too time consuming to paint, at least an unpainted version will be as informative -- a picture is worth a million words. For sure that will only be a faction of the time compared to developing that new item, it turns out to give huge value to potential customers.

So did it come with any crew figures or MGs?
