picts news

Post by pibber »

Great picts !!! :D

Very good idea GHQ to show us unpainted production castings before you can post the painted model !
:D

I'm very pleased to see that the new jadgpanzer IV is a real new model and not a "redo".
(it seem to be a very beautiful model again !)
I will buy few packs...

Beautiful sherman too, with hull applique armor ! :D
but,
I would have prefered a two hatchs tank commander instead of the one hatch model on the turret,
However, it's once again a very beautiful model. I will buy few packs soon...
Good job GHQ !

I also like the photos of the unpainted models - almost better than the painted. I am glad we are getting Shermans w/Applique armor and will be ordering some very soon

I like the unpainted pics too. Good way to show what should come within each pack.

I am very impressed by this move. Someone at GHQ had their thinking-cap on! :)

As others have said, these photos are in some ways as interesting as the photos of the painted models. But I just love the pics of the painted models, and I think they are quite valuable for giving prospective customers a "taste" for what GHQ models can look like when well assembled and painted.

Once the painted model pics are available, I wonder if there is a way to stack the un-painted and painted pics for the final catalog entry. I think it would be very powerful to see both.

Thanks GHQ for listening. I'm impressed by the new approach. :D Of coz, as others suggested, unpainted together with assembled & painted pics will be even better. But I have to admit this is already providing great values to potential customers!

De-lurking for a moment..... :-)

I've been following this forum avidly for years, but am not often in a position to post (plus I usually haven't got much to say...).

I felt this topic is a particularly important one though. I REALLY REALLY like seeing the umpainted figures, because I would much rather see what the product actually IS, rather than what someone else's interpretation of what the paint-job should be.

Some of the paint-jobs are incredible, but some are also fairly shoddy (LAV-25 comes to mind - a fantastic model let down by a fairly "broad-brush" paint-job).

I'm interested in what I'm going to buy and the unpainted picture shows this exactly (and would probably be much faster for GHQ to upload...).

I think the opinions mentioned above about 2 pictures (unpainted & painted) for each product is the way to go, with my preference being for the unpainted.

Please continue this concept.

Cheers

I like that SA-15 as well :D

I really like the unpainted pictures, especially showing top and side views of the model.

In some ways that's better than the colour pictures.

Nice one GHQ.

Way to go GHQ! I think the new picture idea is brilliant. I know they're probably intended to be stop-gap pictures while the models are being painted up but I add my vote to the list of those that would like to see them stay maybe in addition to the finished models pictures. Thanks again for listening to the customers.
