General Question about special orders

I could have just PM'd GHQ but I figured the answer to this question may be of interest to some people, so I'm asking it publicly.

I know I can buy individual models for $2 (as single castings) so special orders for things like the opel blitz cardboard cabin can be bought for $10 for 5, but I need the Bedford QLD in large numbers and they are packed with a QLR (of very limited utility; in fact I already have more of them than I need). Further, the QLD is a 2 piece casting so not available for $2 a vehicle according to the costings given on the website. My question is;

how many vehicles (both casting pieces) would one need to order to get them at $2 a vehicle? Will GHQ even do that?

Years ago, I had a special order for LVTP-7, did not want the 'C' nor the 'R' version as I had plenty. Order 5 packs as I recall. GHQ was very nice and accomodated me many years ago.

So wanting a bunch of a particular item and making a larger order may be helpful.
