Now that GHQ has released its model of CV-41, USS Midway (USN86), I am asking anyone who has purchased this model for identification of the aircraft provided. In the photograph of the unassembled model, I can see three sprues with aircraft. One has five aircraft that look like Corsairs to me. Another has four aircraft that might be Avengers. The third has five aircraft with folded wings - definitely not Hellcats or Avengers, but I can't tell beyond that.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Don,
I have just ordered it but not yet received it but I concur with your assessment. Corsairs, Avengers and I think the folded wing airplanes are Helldivers.

Just got my "holiday" order a couple days ago, which included G-120 PAK-38 ATG's.
There were a couple spare gun carriages, and 3 kneeling "crew castings" shown in the photo but not specifically mentioned in the description.
The real surprise was the prime movers.
While cataloged with the sdkfz-11, they actually came with the sdkfz-10- which was the common "issue" semi-track tow for this little gun.
A good thing from my point of view; but unfortunate for anyone expecting to use the pack to also get the "11"; which for some reason is not available in it's own pack...
Can anyone give me detail on the German and Russian cavalry packs; in particular-how many pack animals and are they a separate sprue ?

Don,
Midway arrived today and here's what I got for airplanes:
10 F4U Corsairs with wings extended (2 sprues of 5 planes ea.).
5 F4U corsairs with folded wings (1 sprue of 5 planes)
That's it. No Avengers. No Helldivers. No Hellcats or anything else.
Hope that helps.

Its a sniper rifle, not a "sniper"! You don't call an assault rifle an "assault"!
