Situation:
Confederate states of tropica launched air strikes on libertania today at 1300 hours pacific time. Ground forces have been seen mobilizing in the border with libertania. President Ernesto calderon authorized his armed forces to be in full alert and begin a defensive campaign to stop the advancement of tropican forces. Many cities have been affected by the air strikes as well as a rising civilian casualty numbering in the hundreds. U.n has warned General Hugo Castro to stop its air strikes and halt the advancement of his ground forces into libertania. He responded that his country soverghinity is in trouble when countries like libertania support foreign countries to manage its oil supply.

History: General Hugo Castro dates back to the 1980’s coup on President Juan Carrillo Democratic Party, who at that time was in control. He managed to gain influence within his military colleagues and eventually ousting the president and murdering all his cabinet and supporters. He claimed that he was destined by god to be the leader of that nation and to guide them into success.

This party believes in that the military should be in command of the nation ordered by god and establish law and order by force, prisons don’t exist, everyone found guilty is put to death and if lucky on forced labor.
General Hugo Castro formed an alliance to share the oil wealth of libertania if only they help by making a strong pact. President Fernando yu; agreed but only they would support the general with finances, by giving them money to continue their operations. The kingdom of istambia remains neutral with everyone. Ernesto Noriega the powerful warlord believes that General Hugo Castro is only bringing attention to international countries and even interventions. He advised Hugo Castro to stop all his attacks on libertania for the sake of everyone. The response was a wave of mig bombers bombing cities istambia. In those strikes he lost his second in command of his organization. Ernesto Noriega ordered his men to prepare for war against tropica. His revolutionary front movements begin infiltrating cities in tropica and encouraging citizens to rise in arms to battle the dictator. Pacifica enraged with those acts begins a military offensive against istambia taking over most of the country, also captured and killed Ernesto Noriega. The revolutionary front still lives and many have joined the cause to free the coast of the sun. This revolutionary front has gained a lot of supporters in all the countries of the coast of the sun. Their purpose is to destroy all who opposes them, the bad part is the have weapons to fight the war for a good 400 years straight.

The process of obtaining weapons can be a ten year process the equipment would depend on your national goals are they defensive in nature or offensive are they counter insurgent focoused or full spectrum...the Political situation where can you buy your Arms from ...can you produce your own Etc....Mikey

Well the goal of the federal forces is to take out the renegade revolutionists who control 80% of the country. Also china has deployed a force to help the R.A.L. so both full spectrum and insurgent type of battles will be fought

Well if I was advising the situation I'd tell you to invest heavily in ground attack craft. SU-25s if your country can afford them, otherwise some older gear will suffice. You should also have some multi-role fighters that are capable of ground attack but can also provide air escort if your opposition some how gets airpower (either through their own air power or an outside party.

Hinds and Hips are good sturdy craft for your purposes that are "cheaper" than their current western counterparts. Use em as gunships and air assault platforms. Possibly some Hind As if you're really on a budget? Maybe even some UH-1s if you're not big on the whole Soviet gear thing.

The problem is GHQ doesn't do those vehicles whoa mohamed. Is there any other brand that has them? But same size as GHQ?

Are you looking for ground-attack or air-to-air for your MiGs?

For ground-attack, the GHQ MiG-27 is about your only choice. Not nearly as widely exported/used as the Su-17/Su-22, but GHQ doesn't make these Sukhois so for a ground-attack MiG, the -27 is your solution.

For air-to-air, the MiG-21 for guys using old kit, and the MiG-29 for guys getting newer stuff. Both widely exported.

There are several other brands of models that are close to GHQ's scale. But you will find none that look as good as GHQ. The other major US vendor may occassionally get close. Most of the others are definitely not in the same league. But if it is a model that GHQ doesn't make, well ya takes what ya can gets...

Just do a google search for 1/285, 1/300 or 6mm miniatures.

F-5s would be my choice for fighters. Lots were made and they served with many free world minor allies. They were relatively cheap too.

Raiden Miniatures makes the MiG-15, 17 and 19, F-8 Crusader, Dassault Mystere and Mirage III in 1/285 scale. They even make the Saab Viggen although strangely they don't yet offer the F-5.
