Where is the American & British Wehrmacht '47 located?

Post by Harlan »

GHQ,

Where are the American and British Wehrmach '47 located? I do not see them listed in the Wehrmacht '47 section or in the WWII US or UK section.

They're lumped in with the moderns for the most part.
Its a sniper rifle, not a "sniper"! You don't call an assault rifle an "assault"!

There is also a separate link to them off the main miniature selection page

That link is just for the German items. It does not include the Allies.

Allied Wehrmacht 47 replies

Post by Schwerepunkt »

In the US section of moderns, the Super Pershing and the M39 APC are included while the SPG M28 is in the Wehrmacht 47 section (the last time I looked). The British Tortoise is there as well as the Soviet APC, and T44 tank.
It is possible they have been moved but the last time I looked, there where in the above spots.

Thanks for letting us know that the listing was not as user-friendly as it could have been. We have made some changes and added a "Wehrmact '47 Opponents" section in the Wehrmacht '47 page of our website. You can see it here:

We hope that this helps make it easier to find the opponent's equipment. One thing to keep in mind with regards to the full Wehrmacht '47 era, for both the Germans and Allies, is that much of the existing equipment that was in use in 1945 would have still been in use in 1947. All of the softskins, command cars, many of the armoured cars, artillery, etc. would have been still been in use supporting all of the new Wehrmacht '47 weapons. Don't treat the Wehrmacht '47 models as something separate from the rest of the war. All of the new equipment would have been integrated in, just as new equipment was integrated in during the earlier parts of the war.

Thank you for your support,
GHQ

I certainly use the SdKfz 251/1 2 and 9 to establish line commo from the Bn HQ to higher ups. Puma armored cars are certainly useful and all of the trucks, haulers, command and HQ vehicles are in my collection.
I do believe that the Wehrmacht 47 units would have been predominant on the Eastern Front due to the muddy and frozen conditions encountered there. The wheeled vehicles would keep to what roads were available and used in towns and built up areas. :D
